The hardest part of recovery is the first week home.

Discharge day is when the help stops and the exhaustion starts. We bridge that gap — a few days or a few weeks — so nobody recovers alone.

HOW RECOVERY SUPPORT UNFOLDS

Three phases, and we step back as strength returns

Good short-term care is designed to end. We start close, then deliberately reduce as independence comes back.

01

The first 48 hours

The first week

03

Weeks two to four

When families call us for this

Any moment where someone comes home less capable than when they left — and there is nobody there to close the gap.

After surgery

Hip or knee replacement, cardiac, abdominal, cataract — the weeks where lifting, bending and reaching are restricted.

After a hospital stay

Pneumonia, infection, a cardiac event. Strength and appetite take longer to return than anyone expects.

After a fall

Where confidence is as damaged as the body, and the fear of falling again is the biggest obstacle.

After a dental or day procedure

Sedation, soft-food diets, and not being safe to be alone for the first day or two.

No family nearby

Adult children in another state, or no local relatives at all. We become the people who are simply there.

Family who cannot take leave

When work or young children mean nobody can take two weeks off, without care collapsing.

This is non-medical recovery support. We do not change dressings, give injections, or provide nursing or therapy. We handle daily life and keep a watchful eye — and we work alongside any home-health nurse or therapist your doctor has arranged.

A few common questions

Often the same day. Call us as soon as a discharge date is set — even a day of notice lets us have someone at the house when they walk in the door.

No. It is non-medical support: getting settled, personal care, meals, medication reminders, housekeeping and a watchful presence. If a nurse or therapist is also visiting, we coordinate around them.

Collecting prescriptions and groceries, yes. Transport to appointments is often possible — because it depends on the situation, we confirm it in your care plan.

That is completely normal, and it is exactly what this service is for. Many families use us for four or five days and then stop. There is no pressure to continue.

Ready to talk? The first step is a free, no-pressure consultation.

Tell us a little about your loved one. We usually respond within the hour — in English or español.
