“I love her. I am also completely exhausted.”

Something we hear almost every week

Both things can be true. Respite care is how you keep going.

Short-term relief so you can rest, work, travel, see your own doctor, or simply sit down, while your loved one stays in warm, capable hands.

AN HONEST CHECKLIST

Signs it is time to ask for help

If more than two of these sound familiar, you are not failing — you are running on empty. That is exactly what respite is for.

Cynthia cares for her own mother at home. She will tell you plainly: resting is not abandoning them. A caregiver who collapses helps no one — and the guilt you feel about needing a break is the surest sign you have earned one.

However much time you need

A few hours

For the errand, the haircut, the lunch with a friend, the appointment you keep postponing.

Overnight

So you get one uninterrupted night. Someone stays awake and watchful while you actually sleep.

A weekend or a week

For a trip, a family event, or your own surgery and recovery. Care continues in their own home, uninterrupted.

A standing weekly break

The most sustainable option. The same caregiver, the same day each week, so you can plan your life again.

A few common questions

From a couple of hours to several weeks. We flex to your schedule rather than the other way round.

Yes. Overnight and extended relief are both available, and for many exhausted family caregivers this is the single most valuable thing we do.

Sometimes, at first. It helps enormously to introduce the caregiver while you are still there for the first visit or two, so she is left with someone familiar rather than a stranger. We build that into the plan.

We will always try. Call us — if something urgent has come up, tell us and we will move as fast as we can.

Ready to talk? The first step is a free, no-pressure consultation.

Tell us a little about your loved one. We usually respond within the hour — in English or español.
